A little girl brought up
In a hell hole
Shown a world
Without hope
Starting life off
Around drugs
Crack whores
And dope thugs

Nappy changed
On the table top
That some druggie
Just sucked a line off
Hookers upstairs
Sucking guys off
Just for enough
For their next rock

Against all odds
You made it to four
Dad long gone
Mums still a whore
Your asking questions
Like what's that for
Pointing to the needle
Laying on the floor

At six years old
Your first foster home
The obvious happened
Mummy overdosed
Daddy in prison
There's no one else
Thrown into a family
Who liked a belt

New mummy and daddy
Pretend to care
You're put through that
For about a year
Until a teacher
Noticed scars appear
That torture over
But it don't end there

Almost eight now
You're growing up
Placed in a new family
They'd show you love
But foster daddy
Shows a little too much
Whenever your alone
He gives you "hugs"

Stayed with this beast
For three whole years
Never said a word
Scared to share
Convinced yourself
That it showed he cared
You're eleven now
It all becomes clear

This man is evil
He needs to be stopped
You gather your courage
And call the cops
You've got no evidence
Charges dropped
Your respect for the law
Has now been lost

You're moved away
For the third time
Another Family
A brand new crime
The crime this time
Not giving a shit
In it for the cheque
And that was it

At fifteen
You run away
Or should I say back
To the last family
You're older now
A little more brave
The law fucked up
He has to pay

As you stood outside
What you called your home
You saw through the window
A child on her own
A little girl
Looked about ten
You couldn't believe
They let him foster again

With boiling blood
You pulled out your knife
But you stopped
Something didn't seem right
There's a urn on the shelf
That's caught your eye
With a photograph
Of the devil on the side

He was gone
But not punished
There's a hollow feeling
Inside your chest
This man deserved
A painful death
You put away the knife
And then you left

Your seventeen
Living on the streets
Begging for enough money
Just to eat
When a man comes along
Offers you a treat
"It'll make you feel safe"
"Set you free"

The circle of life is now complete
