Reflected in the glaze of her eye
See the glitz, the glamour and light
See the band as they play on stage
See the way the people sway
Couples spinning across the floor
Full of love and amour
She was not invited to the ball
She stood outside in the cold
Wishing she had one of those gowns
If only she was accepted by the town
A lonely tear ran down her cheek
Reflected in that icy solitary tear
Showed a room of those that fear
Sequinned gowns and delicate lace
Pinned up hair and made up face
Men in polished boots & black suits
Gave a smart distinguished look
One man stood out from all the rest
He captured all the women's interest
Mesmerised by all his charm
They'd all fall victim to his harm
She willed him to come outside
Towards garden doors he did abide
Reflected in the darkened glass
The man steeped out across the grass
He needed to get some fresh air
From all the women back in there
She grabbed him from behind
Plunged his neck with her fangs
Marking him as her mate
He could invite her in as his date
A new born lover hungry to feed
She lust the passion, craved the need
Reflected in the pool of blood
Two vampires began to make love
The dizzying lights still on from the ball
Surrounded by bodies that did fall
A massacre of guts, open and bare
The guests strewn without any care
He had kissed away her icy tear
A sire urge to always be near
Glad to be spared by vampire queen
More beauty than he'd ever seen
Their victims blood coated their skin
It was just natures way and not a sin
