I've got my list
I've checked it twice
Might need some changing
I'm more naughty, than nice!
But I've sent it to Santa
And like a typical man,
He'll keep me waiting as long as he can.
I want it NOW
I've waited, done what I'm told,
Stuff being timid
It's time I tried bold!
So I'll tell you my list
Let's see how we go,
Have you picked the same?
I may never know.
I'd like peace & contentment,
From now 'til forever
But I'm thinking he'll say, "yeah right, whatever.
That never works,
I've tried over the years
But, like most things,
Peace always ends in tears.
Humans don't seem to be able to live,
In peace and contentment
Even if I give
Them all that they ask for,
Someone always wants more,
So if I've said it once, I'll say it once more
Contentment & Peace I give all the time
However keeping it is YOUR job, not mine!"
Santa's right I suppose
We're the ones to blame
We scream, we fight,
We embarrass & shame.
Shall we try this year too
To keep peace each day?
Doesn't take much
Try in small little ways
To bite your tongue
And hold that thought
It's hard
It's not always how we've been taught!
Once more I tell you that's all on my wish list,
'Til then, let me say, to you all
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
