Gifts From Rabbit

Stack 'em high,
Stack 'em wide,
There's nowhere for those gifts to hide.
They're all for her,
My "furry" friend,
My little Rabbit,
Until Earth's end.
At 4 she knows not what she does,
To me, & Dad, & all of us.
My niece you see,
Just fills me heart,
She did before her life did start.
How did we cope before her arrival?
It's seems like it was mere survival!
She brings gifts of joy, of love, of hope,
Everyday she helps us cope.
She's perfect in each & every way,
At 4 years old I hope she'll stay.
She's cute & sweet & full of cuddles,
Please don't get older & bring those troubles!
At 4 years old I feel I can,
Forever keep her in my hand.
Her name is Jessica & I love her to bits!
Her humour (her father's) has me in fits!
Her temper, that comes from her mother's side,
An issue I try my best to hide!
"Hello little rabbit" I often say,
Especially when it's my turn to play.
"Hello big rabbit" she answers back,
Auntie Rhona's heart melts, every time, that's a fact!
Jessica Rabbit I coo,
A smile my reply,
I'll love you until the day that I die.
The gift you give by being here,
Even though I'm not always near,
Keep me going with just one more hug,
Then, I promise, I'll drive back home to Bug.
Bug tends not to visit when Rabbit's around,
My attention, diverted, he can usually be found,
Skiing, climbing or just flying off,
When I'm home he knows it's all bets off.
I'm hyper you see from playing with my niece,
He hugs and kisses me but then asks for peace!
My gift to him, some peace & quiet,
Until the next visit when there's another riot!
