Lust In My Hair

Such a beautiful day, I think I will go outside,
Me and you alone again, a ride in the country side.

You look so young today, vibrance beyond compare,
Your eyes see my very soul, a very cutting stare.

I never escape the truth, those deep probing eyes,
You cut right to the chase, destroying all the lies.

I hope you can forgive, another woman stole my heart,
I know this isn't what I intended, right from the very start.

She strokes me like no other, my body just explodes,
impure desires, mid-life episodes.

This is where I leave you, off the cliff you go,
I tire of your depression, no sexual feelings flow.

Maybe it is best, that I end it this way,
I would hate to die in your arms, old and very gray.

Started writing poetry officially in 1991, enjoy reading Edgar Allen Poe, reading and dissecting the Holy Bible, and listening to beautiful/inspiring people. Age has no bearing on creativity. Some of the most beautiful things come from those of much lesser age and life experiences. So listen to those young people!

Sad but I'm sure many could relate to this. 😔

Yes, this is unfortunately true for many.
