I Am The Snow.

I am the winters snow,
I can be gentle or a flurry,
I'm icy cold I'm freezing,
Turning the temperature down in a hurry,

I lay my blanket on the earth,
A blanket of white crisp snow,
I cover the roads and cars,
Making travel horrendous wherever you go,

I'm a sign of winter,
Of its icy glacial breath,
I'm gentle yet a blizzard,
I do nothing but caress,

I caress the barren trees,
Twist my snow around its branches,
I lay there till the wind blows,
And then fall down in avalanches,

I bring all kinds of chaos,
But can also bring you joy,
This crisp white snow is a great tool,
For kids to use as a toy,

I can be used to build a snowman,
Or have a snow ball fight,
People have used me to make sculptures,
Some of them reach magnificent heights,

I'm only a temporary measure,
For many in the world,
Some countries I never visit,
Some I'm there everyday my snow wrapped around them - curled,

For some I last a season,
For others I last a day,
And some I last a week or two,
Then I'll melt and go away,

I turn into one of the other elements,
From snow into water,
I am the winters snow,
I'm one of mother natures daughters.
