Santa's Visit.

Santa just visited our street,
In a trailer sleigh towed by a jeep,
Playing Christmas music so loud,
Attracting a crowd,
Of children who wanted to greet,

Giving out lollies and sweets,
To every kid Santa greets,
Raising money for charity,
Santa's costume was nothing but hilarity,
He didn't even have boots on his feet.

You can imagine my children's dismay,
When they saw the trailer and not the sleigh,
I told them Santa was too busy,
He was all in a tizzy,
Getting ready for Christmas Day,

They were happy with that,
Watching Santa's helper as he sat,
His trailer lighting up the sky,
Thank heavens for little white lies,
I'm just lucky they bought my made up crap!
