The sun surrenders it's golden glow
Darkness takes over and steals the show.
Night matures like a fine vintage wine
The sky lights up as the stars brightly shine.
The mist creeps in and covers the land
A presence besides me takes hold of my hand.
Piercing eyes look deep into my soul
As I'm handed a very ancient looking scroll.
An account, my life unfolds before me
At the very end two choices are what I can see.
Choose to sell my soul for an eternal life
As I dance with the devil and become his wife.
Or sickly sweet and a life full of treats
But an absence of emotions in all those I meet.
I have until sunrise to make a choice
As the stranger walks away, a face with no voice.
