It can be a picture of sadness, or maybe gladness
Something that is beautiful,
but also contorted, and slightly distorted.
It can portray helpfulness and kindness,
Yet be despicable and disagreeable.
A warm soft and loving heart,
or one that love has been allowed to depart.
Portraying tears or reflections of our fears.
A picture of someone trying to fit in,
the victorious or the rebellious.
The one who screws up conformity
and shoves it in the bin.
Whichever picture we paint,
we paint the persona that we want the
world to see.
Only a chosen few know the real you and me.
