Warning! Long ass rant and the odd swear word!!

They don't make the world like the olden days
With bricks and mortar and a stone mason's display
Now, we have cardboard factory homes arranged in a maze
Where cul-de-sac hedges disguise the iron barricades
Locks and alarms and CCTV explains
Lost communities are pent up in a rage

Who's at fault and who shall we blame?
Overpopulation misfits thrown into a land filled cage
A well lubricated machine pumps out illegal drugs today
Tax it, tax that, tax them, tax us, tax anything they say
Are the foundations cracking that we built yesterday?

The prospect of boredom fuels complaints
No jobs to build tomorrows world isn't that great
Stained glass windows are shining too faint
Graffiti artiste's adorn the walls of hate
DIY handymen splosh around magnolia paint
In every cardboard street that just looks the same

Let's build upwards with a see thru view
We, the brave, can see a way out of the maze that's built around you
Watching and waiting for the next media news
Of how delinquents are being exploited and abused

Where's the "spirit of the blitz?"
All we see and hear are that communities are in bits
"He was such a nice man that "Psycho Mick"
Nobody knew he was obsessed with guns and knifes and that he lost his wife and kids!"
It's like a pressure cooker on over boil waiting to blow its lid

An Eco-warrior and a sympathiser make a stand at Parliament Square
They've been camping out now for many a year
It's great for tourists who stop and stare
But the MP's point and mutter "they're not wanted out there"
And they all say in unison "here, here!"

Democracy and capitalism in a country of multiculturalism
Illegal immigrants and refugees break their silence
Tourists and purists all caught up in the religious violence

When the land runs out do we continue to build upwards or bury our heads deeper into ground?
Close borders, burn bridges and barricade ourselves in and make no sound?
Build a new defensive system against those that march our way
With a message that reads "we are not part of the EU and we no longer want to play"

I don't think my cardboard home will survive your shitty rules
So I'm gonna build me a 20ft high brick wall
Paint it a lighter shade of invisible magnolia for awhile
Disrupt the system that makes me wild
Then fuck off to Spain where I can relax and smile
