I open my eyes that afternoon and find a puddle of drool on my pillow. Gross! I glance at my mini grandfather clock and I see that it's 5:00PM. I slowly make my way out of bed and into my fave pair of lime green bunny slippers with heart noses. I silently tip toe to Alina's room. As I made my way to Alina's room, I paused at dad's room. My dad wasn't in there but Kate was on the bed facing the wall. I could hear her sniffling until I almost felt bad for her. Maybe she truly loved my dad.
As soon as I thought that, I shook my self out of the idea and walked to Alina's room. I wanted to just barge into her room but for some reason I knocked. I don't know why but I knocked on her purple door with the new GO AWAY ZEE sign.
"Read the sign" said a muffled voice from inside.
"Please, can I just talk to you?" I beg her, now on my knees.
"How long?" She asked. I froze. Alina hated to keep track of time.
"5" I said looking at the door. For a moment I heard silence then I herd her unlatch the door and a minute later the door opened.
"I set my alarm for 5 minutes" she said eyeing me viciously. I walked to her bed and sat down on her hello kitty cover that I bought her a while back when we weren't related.
"I'm so sorry! I don't hate you, it's just I hate...Kate. " I said whispering the last part. Her face softened a little. Not a lot just a little.
"Why?" She asked. I thought but then it dawned on me I truly could not answer. But then the answer popped in my head.
"She's so much like my mother"
