Lost In Nowhere

Part 10

I woke up all alone with half of our tent taken down. I stretched and walked out of the tent limping. I saw Danny struggling to carry sticks with her one arm while the other wrapped in cloth. Josh took them away from her and put them down in the pile. I stepped over and asked them a question.

"Hey, anybody know what time it is?" I ask while flattening down my hair.

"Who the hell knows, who the hell cares." she says and walks away scuffing her feet on the ground kicking up dirt.

"Don't mind her." says Josh smiling. "By the look of the sky it looks to be about late morning mid afternoon." i nod and walk away. That was a pretty abvious answer and besides I still don't completetly trust him with his reputation of drowning people and all.

I catch up with Joey and tap him on the shoulder. "Hey, how are you doing with things?" I ask as cheery as possible.

"I'm doing better." he says smiling and wraps his arm over my back. He squeezes me really tight and says "I'm not giving up though. Imfact I'm more confident then I ever have been before that we'll get her back." his face starts to droop a little and he looks down at me. I smile a little and hug him really tight. I pull away smile and go back to where Tristan is.

"Hey!" I say smiling and jump into his arms on one foot. I'm not sure, but i felt really happy this morning and well rested.

"I have never been more happy to see you." he says smiling and hugs me really tight. When I pull back he pulls me forward into a kiss. We kiss for almost fives minutes until I pull away. I smile and he gives me a kiss on the cheek. When he comes back for another I put my hand in his fce and laugh a little. He cringes his nose and laughs. I didn't want Joey to see us kissing, that might bring back memories of Lindsey and I don't want to hurt him. Tristan almost seemed to read my mind because he grabs me by the waist and slowly lifts me off of him and on the ground leaving his arm out so I could stay on one foot and hold onto him without falling.

"Why are you so happy to see me?" I smile

"You've been asleep for a week Mellisa." he says and whipes my knotted hair out of my eyes. "You didn't know?"

I open my eyes wide and shake my head. How could I be asleep for a week?

"But how?" I ask curiously

"We think it's because your body needed the rest." he says calmly but gets more serious and looks into my eyes "I was almost doubting you would wake up. I was really worried." this time when he leans over and grabs my face for a kiss i let him. I wouldn't know what I would do if Tristan or Tad didn't wake up.

"Hands off pal." says a voice from behind me. The person grabs my waist and pulls me back into his arms. "Tad!" I shout and smile. I have never been so happy to see my brother.
