Lost In Nowhere

Part 4

People scream and scatter in different directions while the guns fire. Somebody drags me away and I scream trying get out of their grasp. The last thing I remember before the metal bar hits my head is Danny getting shot on the arm.

"I think shes waking up." says Lindsey with Joey and and Jamison standing behind her.

"Oh, I moan and start to sit up "what happened?"

"We're not sure actually" says Joey coming up from behind "It might have been the beggining of an invasion"

"Is everybody ok?" I ask looking around. It's only now I notice we are in the middle of the woods and Danny has a little sling around her shoulder.

"Yeah we are now." says Lindsey smiling "Jamison got the bullet out of her arm she should be fine if it doesnt get infected."

I nod and sit up some more. Tristan and Lindsey grab my arms anf swing me to my feet

"How long have a been out?" I ask Jamison as Lindsey goes to check on Danny and Tristan collects twigs for a fire.

"A couple hours only." he says "we should probly get working on the tent. Want to help?"

I nod and go off to collect long sticks and fallen over
trees. When I come back the fire is lit and Danny is fighting with Tristan. I drop my sticks and run over to them.

"Guys! This is not the time to be fighting! We could be caught in the middle of a war for all we know!" I shout standing inbetween them.

"Shut up Mellisa! The whole reason we're fighting is because of you!" she stammers and shoves me lightly, but it looks much worse because as I try to catch my balence I trip backwards.

"Mel! Are you ok?" says Tristan running to my side. He grabs my hand and pulls me up.

"Yeah I'm fine thanks." I say giving Danny a look and saying one last thing before walking off to assemble the tent " keep your hands to yourself please before you hurt somebody else."

I begin to stack the sticks in a tp kind of way. When I'm done I make another one and Jamison makes the last one bigger then the rest. His could fit maybe 3 and mine about 1 or a tight 2.

"Ok guys huts are up!" I say and run to the big one on the end. Danny sleeps by herself, Lindsey and Joey sleep in the same hut and Tristan Jamison and I sleep in the same tent. It was a long night for sure.
