001-212.

Tell me what's going on with you, because I don't know.

I've been making my way home, through this alpha dog rodeo.....

My friend.

Day strikes, I'm at quarter to eight and your quarter to four.

And you're rolling in bed, and I'm spread out on this dusty floor.....

Again.

Fill me in, tell me something new.

You know your voice sounds different in the cord that it's coming through....

I don't know... When this dwindling begun.

But I washed all my shirts... So your lipstick is gone.

Tell me all about the life, you promised we'd build.

While I'm mopping up the remnants of the love that you spilled.

Tell me a story, through a photograph.

I see you're laughing out loud on my behalf...

My friend.

I missed my flight, again yesterday.

So I guess I'll see you on next years holiday...

Again

When you're catching the rays my skies are pouring.

And I like you a little less than I did this morning...

I don't know... When our sinking begun.

But I've changed all my sheets, so your perfume is gone.

Our void... Is getting greater and greater.

Now, what was once one, is only two distant strangers.

I don't know... When this dwindling begun...

Maudlin Self Pity Song

I am cocooned in a tenuously familiar space. Only slightly less alien in this alien place. The rain pounds fists on the windows, the loudest I've known. The streets are rivers outside my almost-home.

Stranger

You stood so far away. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't find the words. But maybe I will someday. You stood in a stranger's spot. I think you've become lost. So far from who I remember.
