Well my mother used to say when things don't go your way you'll work it out.
And my father always said when things are going down, don't stick around.
So I here I am again with my feet planted in the ground so faithfully.
And here you stand again wearing love down to its end so wastefully.
I gave you all I have to watch it wash away so easily.
It's clear I've lost my way. I'm fine, I'm not ok. It's sad to see.
I'll pick up the pieces you made then dropped all over me and I'll be clean.
I'll become what you never could notice. The man I should have been.
Well my brother used to say when things don't go your way don't waste your time.
And my buddies always said, when darkness turns to red, then just resign.
So here I am again my head in both my hands ungraciously.
And here you are again your picture on my wall so shamelessy.
I gave you all I have to watch it gush away so ceaselessy.
You took it not to keep. But snatched it from my chest so greedily.
I'll put back the fragments you scattered and I'll be complete.
I'll do what you never could witness. I wont admit defeat.
