She Speaks To Me.

Things change they dont stay the same.
So I roll the dice in life's cruel game.
Hatred burns and sets me aflame.
I prayed for solice and then she came.
Everybody else is on different pages.
We play different acts on different stages.
Whatever they say is all greek to me.
But I've got her, she speaks to me.

When I feel broken and I'm sinking low.
She speaks to me.

When my heart holds anger and wont let go.
She speaks to me.

When people ask questions that I don't know.
She speaks to me.

And when I mask things that I cant show.
She speaks to me.

I come and go but never unpack.
I hate the past but keep looking back.
Days long gone I would sit and dissect.
Like watching an old video I cant eject.
I'm only half the man I seek to be.
But when I look back.
She speaks to me.

When I question things I don't understand.
She speaks to me.

When I'm stuck walking on desolate land.
She speaks to me.

And when I crumble and I cant stand.
She speaks to me.

People scold me when I don't listen.
But I hear everything they think I'm missing.
But when they talk I disagree.
Blinded by ignorance so they can't see.
I'm the school of normality's only absentee.
But when I'm alone, she speaks to me.

When I'm surrounded by pictures dark and lurid.
She speaks to me.

When I'm about to do something stupid.
She speaks to me.

And when I'm the only one overlooked by cupid.
She speaks to me.

I fight constantly to hide emotion.
I'll bury held back tears inside the ocean.
She says, start enjoying life, it's been a while.
And I surprise myself with a bitter smile.

And though her face I can no longer touch or see.

When I close my eyes...

She speaks to me.
