You used to look down at me with adoring eyes as I talked to you,
a ghostly smile always gracing your lips.
You used to laugh at my jokes,
your deep laugh had sent shivers down to my toes.
And when I shivered you held me close, your body heat had kept me warm.
And when your arms hugged me to you, I could smell your delicious cologne...
I was glad that I was no longer alone
I was glad that you were my own.
But as it turned out, you weren't just mine.
You had other girls
You, slime!
I was just another notch on your bedpost
Just another girl who would snuggle in your big clothes.
So I had bid you goodbye
I hadn't let you see me cry
I threw out all of the things that you bought me
All of the things that you touched
But then I had nothing
I picked up the pieces though
Where there was a gash in my heart, there was soon relief
I began to believe
Again in love for me.
