Sorry for the late results.
This was a toughie, 26 entries in total -and I'm still torn between my top three; all are as good as each other -in different ways, so I had to decide focusing on the chosen word: Mysterious -which of the three embodied that more, that's what I've gone with, I do hope I do not disappoint with my chosen winner.
Before I reveal my top three, I wanted to give a special recognition for the following:
The multi-acrostic award goes to @sammielee46 & @evilfingerz with a total of 3 poems a piece. I want to thank you all for abiding by my request to keeping the entries to digestible amounts per contestant. ;)
The I haven't the foggiest award goes to @leelee101 for his poem 'The Mystery Prize' - even he didn't have an inkling to what the main attraction in his piece was.
Best rhyme award goes to @sjw for her poem 'An Intriguing Stranger' -sexy sultry sassy writing at it's best.
The it's got nothing to do with mysterious award goes to @sarahgamal with her piece 'Mysterious/Yin Yang' -a cute tale deserving of a mention regardless. ;)
It's just too funny award goes to mister @Burrfoot for his 'Mad Madam Mim' -it's crazy, it's zany -a laughter filled ditty. :)
The 'oooo' that's ingenious award goes to @wendy3763 with her poem 'Mysterious' -it was fresh, clever and made me smile for it's uniqueness. Loved it.
Ok, so here it is: my top three:
In third place it's @evilfingerz with his poem 'I, Sigbin' -creepy, chilling, a worthy winner any other day.
In second place (and I hate to do this to you but) it's @Burrfoot with his thought-provoking poem 'Why?' -a totally different approach to all the other entries; I had to do a loud recital to finally decide between this piece and the winner, a very close & hard call.
In first place -it had to be the quickest entrant ever, 5-10 minutes after I announced the competition @shaheenashapeenur submitted this enchanting tale 'Such Beauty Mystery Can Be' -it flowed and sang off the page, a very evocative read.
So there's the results, I now hand the baton onto @shaheenashapeenur -good luck with the judging, it sure is not easy. ;)
