English Is Dead

Alliteration suicide,
Murder of the pun,
Anagram overload,
Punctuation's done.

Paradox beheaded,
Plot got the noose,
Verbs used poison
Nouns went capoos!

Gunning down of irony,
Rehab for metaphor,
Hyperbole break down,
Simile- a closed door,

Humour froze over,
Repetition drowned,
Personification lost in fire,
Contradiction never found.

Death to all spelling,
Goodbye to Mr Verb
Rest in peace sweet English,
Please do not disturb.
