Use 'em well to get some kicks
Make you laugh, make you cry
Lay you low or get you high
Used each day without a thought
Seriously or just for sport
Really good for mood enhancing
Used by lovers for romancing
Imbibe, ingest, then understand
A wrong'un could bring reprimand
Some are sweet and some are sour
You can't deny their worth, their power
What's this about? What is the meaning?
Is it drug abuse to which he's leaning?
Can you tell where this is leading?
The clues are in this piece you're reading
There's no charge, they're free like birds
Why not let loose some beautiful words...
