Autumn Days

The crunch of the leaves beneath my tired feet is comforting. I knew I was so close to home, the faint glow of the warm fire was in the distance. My breath flew out in a cloudy whisper, my nose and cheeks pinched by the bitter cold. I could feel the fresh wind stroke my hair ruffling it away from my face. Taking in a deep breath I could still smell the faint essence of you on me, making me smile crazily to myself. The sky is dark now, the stars guiding my way. Even though I'm alone- I'm not entirely. My thoughts crowded by your face, smile and the words you had whispered so lovingly into my ear. I get home, the light and warmth engulfs me in a hug, I feel relaxed. I like these autumn days.

Sidenote: If it wasn't in the list, I'd name this one "Bits of Me". Boxes, boxes everywhere. Holding all my old clothes. Of which I'm too big to wear. Forever and on. Boxes, boxes everywhere.
