A draft for my english exam. Only the opening:

They were always there-the mother and her child, even before the sun had chased away the shadows of the night before, enjoying the sun as they watched it’s shimmering form on the gentle river; as it rose above the horizon.
Both had found this place a few months back. Back when times were simple and life was rich and perfect in the mother’s eyes. Unfortunately those times had since passed, so they return here every week, to watch the sunrise and spend the day at their secret stretch or river. Where the birds still sung and the brambles bore berries. Where they laughed and screamed together; as long as they loved each other, they could retain this place of paradise-

Where the birds still sing.
