Monday

She looked round, hoping for something new. She was hoping her prince charming would come and whisk her off her feet but she knew it was too good to be true, like someone asking her to prom. She knew not to wish for more than reality and just like normal, no one paid notice of her as she made her way to her class that one Monday morning.
"Snotty" a voice called and she shuddered.
Snotty was the worst name ever and it just so happen to be what her friend called her. She shuddered again but carried on walking, pulling her long brown hair forward to try and hide her identity. It was useless of course and she knew it. Her friend jogged to catch up with her then nudged her when she realised that she had been trying to hide.
"oh hi, Jen" she smiled, nervously.
"Snotty, you haven't by any chance seen Michael today?" Jen asked, smiling, as she twirled a strand of her short blonde hair round her finger.
"nope, why?"
"Oh, Sarah, you really are hopeless aren't you?" Jen said, rolling her bright blue eyes.
"huh?" Sarah replied, slowing down now.
"you'll see." Jen laughed. "ooh, speak of the devil"
And then she ran off, leaving Sarah standing there smiling at how mad her friend was.
And sure enough Michael was walking towards her. His dark brown hair was spiked up and his dull green eyes were watching her.
"hey, Sarah" he smiled.
"Michael," she nodded. "have you told something to Jen? Because she's acting weirder than normal." she laughed.
"oh, yeah. I was just wondering if you wanted to go prom with me? As in not as friends this time ... Do you want to be my date to prom?" he asked nervously.
She jumped at it. Might have been the fact that she had had a crush on him for years and thought it had gone to the stage in their friendship where they are just friends and nothing else. She never knew he felt that way. She found on that average normal day that maybe dreams can come true...
