Selflessness is rare.
Our world is tarnished, blackened by greed and envy. Driven to delirium on the quest to conquer. Minds corrupted, poisoned, killed off slowly as power-hungry maniacs feed off the earth, draining the resources like leeches.
We were reckless.
We made mistakes.
So many mistakes.
And as we grew, as we destroyed, as every single second passed, the future seemed to vanish a fraction more.
Everything we did, affects us now.
Everything we do, affects our children.
Our grandchildren. Our family. Our friends.
Our future.
We take want we want, not what we need. Selflessness is just an underlying whisper in the breeze, a quiver in the leaves of the trees, a softness in the earth's song.
We made mistakes, but we can learn from them. We can change to make things better, save the world, save lives.
Life is the thread that weaves the fabric of our existence together, connecting everyone, everything, in a mesh of beauty, light and colour.
But it's being torn.
If we just stopped and looked, watched it happening, maybe we would see.
These simple things, love, kindness, courage, selflessness, they have become a rarity.
This needs to change.
Look back at what you have done yesterday, change it for the better today, and watch tomorrow sparkle.
Be loving.
Be courageous.
Be selfless.
Be amazing.
Be unique.
Be yourself.
Because tomorrow is closer than you think.
