Is it really morning and time to arise?
I'd rather lie back down and close my eyes
So many jobs on the wife's chalkboard
Mrs Burr's whip won't stay ignored
Walls to paint and bills to file
It is enough to bring about the bile
Dog to walk and litter tray needs cleaned
She's a cruel task mistress and a fiend
Hoovering and ironing before the roast is on
Perhaps I could return to bed and stifle another yawn
Alas, no I must get up and give a shake to me
Jobs to do not least of which is the morning pee
