Love Captured

Our past watches on as we shout and we scream
Two lovebirds smile as we ruin the dream

A silent echo of happy times, a laugh caught in the moment
A lonely heartbroken sob, pleads an end to this torment

If the two strangers looking down at us
Could speak, they would turn their head in disgust

Never would they ever believe
That their heart's desire would be to leave

A time when every thought was for each other
Meandered into reprisals of being smothered

How can the two of us have been so wrong
Where did that boy I knew go, now the love is gone

We thought we had a love that would never die
It won't, it lives on in a photograph, they never lie.

#household. One day I'd like a fireplace. To place the only memento I've got. A beautiful Victorian fireplace. Upon it I would sit a clock. A clock given to my grandfather.

Not Letting Go

Sometimes I miss you. Late at night. Alone in my house. In the quiet moonlight. And I sit in bed. And look at pictures of us. And play your favorite songs. Read your notes that are covered in dust.

@glen ty sir 👍

@MrsS I like that you see it differently 👍 for me, the end says the only the love lives on is trapped in the photo.. The last line is kinda sarcastic 😉 but it's nice to be positive 😃

@misslittleDHP ty huggy 😃😊

@MrsS the only PLACE the love lives

As with you, I read it as if love was captured only in the photograph. Very accurate & poignant piece 😌😘
