Chapter Eight
My Oath To You
"You aren't scared of her,are you?" Tara asked Caden as he walked by. Caden shrugged and kept going. "Hey Caden!" someone called out. He saw his long time friend Hannah. "Hey Hannah" he said with a smile. "What's up pal?" she asked. Caden shrugged and said,"Oh nothing. You?" Hannah smiled. "Just got a new pet snake. Well,I got to go. See ya Caden" and with that,she left. "Who's that?" someone asked. Caden jumped a little. He turned around and Serena. "A long time friend of mine. I haven't seen her for years". Serena nodded. "Listen Caden, I love you. I don't wanna lose you. Please don't be scared of me" She said with a sad look. Caden looked at her. He wasn't scared of her,he was just scared of what she says about love.
That night,
Caden finished his chores. "Finally!" he thought. When he got to his room,he heard a knock on his window. He looked up and saw Serena. He opened the door and key Serena in. "I love you Caden" she said. "I love you too" he said. "You are to own my heart. I'll always be here for you if you ever need me. Even if you're far away. You are my true love Caden. This is my oath to you" She went up and hugged him. She knew she could never find someone better than him. Caden gulped. He thought it was sweet of her but it scared him.
The next day,
"Still can't believe you are dating a vampire" Said Gavin. "Still can't believe you are getting along with your sister!" Caden said. Gavin rolled his eyes. "Okay Goby and I were just talking,that's all". Caden laughed. "Sure whatever dude". "Anyways I STILL can't believe you save my life. Thank you brother" Gavin said. Gavin and Caden hugged.
"How sharp are your fangs?" Caden asked. Serena showed him. "Damn,very... sharp" he said while his eyes were wide. Serena laughed. Caden put his arm around her. Soon he looked around and saw something horrifying. On the front page of the news paper,it read:A MYSTERIOUS MURDER. Caden pointed it out to Serena. Serena shrugged. My teeth marks won't show on her neck. It only lasts for a hour and goes away. Caden signed in relief.
