Chapter nine
A Little Too Scared
"You been acting weird Caden. Are you okay?" Asked Gavin. "Yeah just a little scared". Said Caden. Gavin cocked his head. "You're afraid that your vampire girlfriend is going to kill you?" Caden shook his head. "She says she wants to be together,like for forever and ever. It's scares me cause she'll probably live forever and that I won't..actually of course I won't live forever". Gavin sighed.
"Later that day
Walking and worrying,Caden went into a store. Soon he got a call from his sister Kassandra. It had a K instead of a C. "Hello?" he asked. "Hi Caden!" she said. He smiled. He really missed his sister. He has only seen her for three years. She had to be eleven in a half now. She lived with Caden's mom and Caden lived with his dad. "Sure you can spend a week here. Yes I promise. Okay I love you Kass. Bye" Caden hung up.
That night,
"Are you gonna let her cold hands touch your little sister?" Gavin asked. Caden rolled his eyes but he thought he shouldn't hang out with Serena while his sister was here. She was only eleven in a half. She would be scared. "I just won't see her for a whole week". Caden said. "Alrighty".
The next day,
"So I'm having a party next week and I was wondering if you were coming" Serena said happily. Caden bit his lips. "Actually Serena,I have plans already". Serena had a puzzle look on her face. "What? So you aren't coming?" she asked. Caden shrugged. "If I knew you were having a party next week,I wouldn't of made any plans". Serena crossed her arms. She sighed. "I'm-I'm sorry" Caden stuttered. "What are your plans?" she asked. "Oh well..." Caden couldn't just lie to Serena. "My sister is going to be visiting me and I just want to hang out with her. Just her and me". Serena nodded.
Next week,
"So what do you wanna do today Kass?" Caden asked. Kassandra shrugged. Soon the doorbell rung. "Someone's at the door!" Kassandra yelled. "Oh that must be Gavin. You remember Gavin don't you?" Caden asked. Kassandra nodded. "Yeah! He's awesome!" Caden walked to the door and opened it. It was Serena. His Heart fell to his stomach. What was he going to do? He didn't expect Serena to come. He was a little too scared to think of a plan. Soon his heart felt like it was going to burst.
