Everything Hurts
Caden lied on his bed, while letting his phone ring. Soon as he was about to turn it off,he saw that Naomi called 9 times,Serena called 15 times,and Gavin called 18 times. "Why won't they just let it go?" he mumbled to himself. He looked at the calls and somehow hurt. He threw his and heard it crash. He lied back down and decided to a nap.
He was awoken by knocking. "Caden? Bro are you okay in there?" It was Gavin. Caden got up and went to opened the door. As soon as Gavin saw him,he gasped. "No! You didn't!" he yelled. Caden just looked at him like he was a madman. "What?" he asked. "Don't play dumb with me. Look at your arms!" Gavin exclaimed. Caden looked down and realized he had cuts all over him. He didn't notice that he started again. He couldn't remember what time he did. It was like it wasn't such a big deal and so he probably just didn't really care to remember. "Oh Caden,would you stop it?" Gavin asked strict. Caden looked at him hurt,and screamed,"Why the hell you care?!" "Because you're my brother and it hurts badly to see you like this! I rather put a big cut on myself and put salt on it,then seeing cuts on you!" Gavin yelled back. Caden just looked at him. He does care,he really does. Caden hugged him tightly and Gavin hugged back.
Two hours went by,and the two boys were watching,"Criminal Minds" until the doorbell rung. "Caden? You in there?" Naomi called out. "Please open the door" said Serena. Gavin got up and opened the door. "Wheres Caden?" Serena said anxiously. "He's over here". Gavin led the girls to the living room. They found Caden watching tv,trying to avoid them. "Oh my god! Caden what happened to you?!" Serena screamed as she saw the cuts on his arms. "I...cut myself" Caden replied cold. Gavin took the girls out of the living room and explained the whole thing to them. "Just don't mention it to him alright?" he said seriously. Naomi and Serena nodded. The three went back to see Caden but he wasn't there. "Yo Caden where ya at?" Gavin called out. No answer. He realized he must've went into his bedroom.
Gavin started knocking. "Caden?" he called. No answer. Gavin began knocking harder and louder. "Caden what the hell?" he screamed. "Why is he not answering?" Naomi whispered. Gavin took a deep breath. "He's probably gonna cut himself or...fuck! We need to get in there!" he shouted. Serena's widen and said,"Naomi go call the 911 and I'll go to the window. I might be able to break it". The three went to their separate ways. Gavin grabbed at bat and started the door.
While everyone was doing their best to save Caden, Caden just stood there with a knife in his hand. He slowly started cutting himself. "Everything hurts...everything hurts". He repeated in his mind. "Caden!" Gavin yelled as finally opened the door. Caden looked away from him. "Bro come on. We can fix this okay?" Gavin asked. Caden pushed him out of the way and ran. He to the front door. He kept running and running.
When he saw a river,he stopped. He looked at his arms. They were bloody and red. He felt dizzy and sleepy. He started thinking about his family and friends and how devastated they would be if they found out he was dead. It would also crush Serena. He fell to the ground and started breath heavily. He felt more dizzy and tired. He ran too fast maybe? He didn't sleep well last night. No it wasn't. Blood was escaping his arm. He was loosing blood. A lot.
"The police and the ambulance are one the way" Naomi said as she ran to Gavin. "To look for him right? Cause he ran off" said Gavin. "Where's Caden?" Serena asked. She had tears rolling down her eyes. "We don't know Serena. He ran off". Naomi said.
