Still with an aching face, I woke up and shook my head. What happened? That guy from earlier was sprawled on the floor. Someone really must've gone for him. Under his breath, I heard him whisper. "Jack.. That idiot!" What.. Jack did this? Wow.. I then looked down. Blood from my head was on the floor.. Along with no hands. Crap. I must've disappeared during the shock. After reappearing, I heard foot steps. "Kitty!" yelled a voice. "Jack..?" I whispered, and my guess was correct. Slouching down on his knees he wrapped his arms around me. My head against his chest as I listened to his voice and heart beat. "I thought you'd disappeared.. I was worried.." he whispered. My cheeks went red. He cares.. He really cares. "I'm fine, so don't worry okay?" I replied, smiling at him as I placed my hands on his shoulders. His arms still wrapped around me, it was just me and him stating into each others eyes. Silence. Wow, he's much more muscular then I imagined. Do I..? This might be my only chance. Slowly I close my eyes and begin to lean into him. Rewarding my hero with a kiss, a cheesy yet good idea. I could feel him also getting closer, but whether it was him moving or me pulling him I don't know. Heart racing. Hands tightening. Feeling his breath - Raspberry, nice! - as I leaned in and..
"Woah! What happened here?!"
I screamed and fell back. Jack just blinked as he helped me up. Thousands of kids crowded the door way to state at the guy Jack KO'd. Sure Jack is strong, but how on earth did he knock out a guy that big?! He must be like superman or something! Everyone crowded around the guy as Jack pulled me onto my feet. While everyone was distracted, Jack helped me back inside with his arm around me. There was only one last song, but we decided to head home as the night had been eventful enough already. As usual again he walked me home, keeping me close to him as if he was protecting me from the night. When we reached my house, it was time to say goodbye. We stood facing each other. "Oh, I was meant to give you these." Jack said as he handed out a bouquet of flowers. Smiling brightly I accepted. "Thanks.. For everything tonight." "It's nothing." He replied. Okay Kitty. "I wanna give you something to say thanks, although its not much." "C'mon Kitty! Your my friend, you don't need t--" Before he could finish his sentence, I kissed his cheek. Quickly after that I dashed up the path and into my house, yelling my goodbyes as I did so. Eek, what about if he asks tomorrow?! I'm so stupid! But.. Whatever happens. This was seriously the best night of my life. I flopped down on my bed, kicking off my heels. Then my phone started ringing. Oh God, what if it's Jack?! Nervously I answered the phone. "Miss Curious. There is mysterious happenings at a local factory. Go there and sort it out." "Wait, who is--" Hung up. How did he know my number and how did he know I was.. Um.. Me? Either way, I better check it out. Quickly slipping on my costume then dashing along the telephone wires like usual. Darting through the buildings, often disappearing then reappearing to avoid detection. Factory in sight. Concentrating, I disappeared and reappeared inside the factory, then listening for talking. Footsteps. I temporarily disappear until I notice a dark looking figure, appearing and striking out my leg for an attack. Although it stopped in mid air, the mysterious person just staring at it and keeping me there. "Who are you?" He boomed. "I was gonna ask you the same thing. Let me go! I know what's going on here!" I hissed. "So do I, and I'm here to stop it." he replied, releasing my leg and stating at me as if I've done something awful. "What?! No! This isn't mine! I was called here to--" He then darted off. Growling I followed, reappearing and disappearing in random blurs to get ahead. "Freeze!" We both yelled at the same time, staring at each other before striking. The rather muscular male knocked out two with a single mind wave, which was rather impressive. Although I personally find my disappearing act work perfectly well also. After the short battle, I stretched. Turning around to.. Nothing?! This other guy had all three men in one hand, meaning he'd get all the bounty for catching the dealers. "Hey, you!" I called out. But before I could catch up, he jumped up onto a building and ran off.
Whoever this guy is, he's messed with the wrong girl.
