Twisting ivy wrapped around ebony wood,
Jade leaves hang from trees strongly stood,
Draped vines curling, dripping dewdrops down,
Floor covered in small things, fell from the treetop crown,
At night, fireflies glow across iridescent ponds,
The heart of the forest, wrapped in natures bonds,
Shimmers of life in twisted undergrowth,
An ancient secret, deep hidden by darkened oath,
Dappled light falls softly on the ground,
Every stir echoes, every shift, every sound,
Moist air suffocates, water at every inch,
Hidden, buried, by a heavy guarded cinch,
Colours dash, whooshing birds,
Travellers, buffalo in massive herds,
Forest if water, river and rain,
Lock away secrets, withstand the pain.
