#Nightdwellers #Beginningline Challenge update

As of right now, with about a day left for the competition, I've only received one entry. Anybody wishing to participate, please get your entries in to me as soon as possible. I'm reposting the first post below with the Beginningline so you can see it, if you haven't already. Good luck!

Thank you @sjw for picking me to write the next #Beginningline. I loved reading everything everybody wrote and had a lot of fun.

This is my first time directing one of these, so hopefully it all goes smoothly. Since these tend to be somewhat darker in tone, I think that I'll start you all off with an optimistic sentence and see how well you can twist it. Here is your new #Beginningline:

"A week before the winter solstice, a fire crackling merrily in the hearth and hot chocolate in hand, she sat down upon the sofa".

I look forward to people taking this in every direction; good, bad, and ugly. Give me horror or happiness, tears of joy or tears of sorrow, laughter or slaughter, serendipity or sensuality; bring out the #Nightdwellers.
