Well, that's the back of Herman.
I'd grown rather attached
To that gloopy, cakey guy
Though at first we seemed mismatched.
We played cards together
And while I played the piano
He sang along to all the tunes.
Germans are great singers, don't you know?
He truly was the bestest friend
A girl could ever want,
When he got angry he just bubbled
Never swore or kicked or punched.
So as I send off his children
And put him in the oven here,
I cannot help but catch myself
And shed a little tear.
But at least when he's out the other side
And reunited with me
A little bit of Herman
Will live on in my tummy.
