They say when life gives you lemons
Make lemonade instead,
But I'm no magician
I need more ingredients, been misled.
Life hasn't given me sugar
To sweet up the taste
Of death and pain and sorrow
And lives gone to waste.
Life hasn't give me water
To revive my weary soul,
To quench the endless thirst in me,
To help me reach my goals.
So now Life's given me lemons
I just want him to take them back,
I don't want some lemons,
I want him to cut me some slack.
I want him to give me sunshine
In these very cloudy days,
I want him to let me be happy
In a million other ways.
So Life, please take your lemons
So everyone stops telling me
To make some lemonade
When they know it cannot be.

@Delilah Have you ever heard of a game called Portal? This poem is simaler to something someone says in that. Great poem.
@overskill @Delilah well in portal I think you mean "when life gives you lemons don't make lemonade make compatible lemons!" so your idea is still original. Good work too!π
