I don't want it, take it
away
Please don't think I'm ungrateful
But I've decided
The price is too high
to pay
And the moon you lassoed for
me
It's beautiful-such a feat
But I'm underwhelmed
And empty
Too guarded, to see,
You see
I politely ask that you don't
attempt
To climb these walls that protect me
For you shall only gain my
contempt
Years of effort, practice and
Time
Went into building them
I want no trespassers here
It's viewed as a
Crime
I cannot risk another
Rampage
What beats inside me is mine
Sole control prevents further
Damage
It's still
Intact
You can use it again
I return it in one piece
Perfect,
In fact
Take this chance
To make a new start
Preserved & unbroken
I give you back
Your heart.
