I hope your teabag bursts daily into your favourite mug
I hope the money (which you treasure so dearly) dries up,
and leaves you knowing the truth of desperation.
I hope that mice infest your walls,
and your boiler breaks each winter.
I hope your ridiculously expensive bike is stolen
I hope your latest conquest gives you the clap, and,
If said conquest transpires to be your wife,
I hope she finds your secret Viagra store, and in your absence, racks up breathless notches on the bedpost.
I hope your favourite eatery discretely overcharges you
and the chef spits in your food.
I hope you too, feel the humiliation of betrayal,
the pain of loss,
the depths of heartbreak
And I hope you never recover.
In truth of course, I wish none of these things.....
I simply hope that when the blue skies of your new life have faded,
You will stand disillusioned and lonely under the dark storm clouds,
And wonder why it was you ever left me.
