My body in a coffin,
A coffin made of glass,
You didn't know I'd see it all,
I watched the hours pass.
So, so cold, I waited,
Just waited for your kiss,
A kiss to return life to me:
What anyone would miss.
I waited but you didn't come,
I grew so cold and tired,
Left inside that see-through cage,
For all, to be admired.
They'd stop and try to wake me,
A thousand lips - not yours,
And still I waited patiently,
To feel your soft contours.
You left me in that place so long,
I forgot just how to feel,
I finally forgot myself,
Brought my thoughts to heel.
Who was I to think you'd come?
To think you'd rescue me?
I was Snow White in a case,
That's all I'd ever be.
