Love and Learn

The tears I cried were so hard to understand.

When I left, I left my heart. I left my soul. I left our future in remand.

I cerised you. I loved you. I was there at your demand.

But you always left me bitter and twisted with no where to stand.

I forgave you. I forgave me. Nothing left but old footprints in the sand.

This bitter sweet memory, the trademark of this land.

Our failed love hidden behind our future, was unplanned.

This love was nothing but a pool of quicksand.

After days, weeks, months I finally understand.

This game of love was always a losing hand.
