There's something in my wardrobe,
Of that I am quite sure,
At night I hear its pitter-patter
Footsteps on the floor.
I can't get a good look at it,
No matter how I try,
I only ever see it from
The corner of my eye.
I don't know what it's doing,
Or what it wants from me,
Maybe if I ignore it
It will just let me be?
Unless it wants to eat me,
Or wear me as a hat;
It's already killed my guinea pig
And my neighbours cat.
It doesn't seem too friendly,
My toes it's nibbled twice,
I wonder if a monster hunter
Could give me some advice?
I could try to kill it,
Or catch it in a trap,
But it only seems to come out
When I'm trying to take a nap.
There's something in my wardrobe,
With teeth and scales and claws,
And now I think another
Is living in my bedroom drawers!
