Holy Cannoli

Rank 19, happened over night
I know that's cliché but it really did
Low self confidence meant I lost the will to fight
Kept writing through all my doubts
You gave me so much support, I hope I'm proving you right.
This story was an experiment,
I didn't expect it go far,
But I hope it's full of loving sentiment,
As its dedicated to the man I'll always love,
Just wish he was here to see my lament.
I always said the top 20 was my aim,
And without your support this wouldn't be reality.
Sure, I've tried to up my game,
But I've also come to realise that popularity isn't everything,
And I'm glad everyone told me the same.
So this is just a little poem of appreciation;
I was going to include your names and make them rhyme,
But despite my determination,
I couldn't quite manage!
But I know I wouldn't manage to be at this rank without you, unless I put forward a serious donation!
So thank you all,
I know this sounds half hearted,
But I wish I could throw a ball,
And invite you all and show my thanks.
You've done so much for me, made me feel confident not small,
It just shows how the little things,
Like pressing a heart on a screen,
Can make people's hearts light up with a ping!
And even though I'll probably never meet you,
I'm happy to say you're all my friends.
