Aww bless you! Just try and be laid back when you talk to him and be yourself. You don't need to try to strike up a conversation immediately, just throw a few comments in related to the lesson. Things will then go from there and you'll become comfortable around him
Be yourself and gradually start talking to him, first say 'hi' in class before the teacher comes in. I know it will be awkward but most teenagers have been there (not me I jus know his like this, cause I just do)
