I have a case of writer's block,
A wall of solid steel,
As hard to break as solid rock,
Don't think I'll ever heal,
I do the first that comes to mind,
Pour water in the kettle,
Make the best drink of all mankind,
To melt away this metal,
I put the cup to wordless lips,
And of the drink, I take a sip,
I drink until there's nothing left,
And still my mind is plot bereft,
I sit on the floor,
And close my eyes,
Let my chi and mana flow,
I flood my mind,
With countless thoughts,
But, when I'm done, they quickly go,
I still can't think of what to write,
My pen of concepts has run dry,
I stroke the kitten on the couch,
And, yet, more words begin to die,
I fall back down and paint the ceiling,
With the paint of my dark mind,
My sentences are starting healing,
New words left for me to find.
