But remember, to repost is a want not a need
Do it too often and it loses it's worth
Changes to annoyance from mirth
So if you like then press the 'heart'

This isn't Instagram. This ain't your twitter feed. Looking for a Facebook fix. Then this ain't what you need. Sure we like a quote or two, But millions. No thanks.
Opuss is not Twitterβ’. So do not treat it as such. With your one liner updates. On life, how long, how much. If you want to tell us how you feel. Then write a little rhyme.

@Jamtots Don't worry! I'm equally to blame because there are so many posts I want to share with everybody. So I'm trying now to only repost if I really really like something.

Reposts are great for those of us who are new here....I have had poems go unread until they have been reposted by more popular authors...thank you @Fly10
@zero7four true, but when people are constantly reposting it devalues those poems/stories. I appreciate it like anyone would if someone values my work enough to repost it. And I do agree it is a good way to hear new authors.
The repost master disagrees with nom, the feed is a joke, you post something and it's gone, never to be seen again after 10 minutes, until the feed is updated somehow the repost master will keep reposting. Starting with this post right now my friend lolπ
@Fly10 @naaviie @Jamtots @VikingHorn I disagree reposts keep your work in the 10 minute feed if you don't like it, don't read it, but I will continue reposting everything I read, not if it's really bad.
@glen For some reason, half the time someone reposts it doesn't even show up in my feed. And if multiple people that I follow repost the same thing, only one of them shows up π
@Jamtots yeah I know but for example I've got followers that hardly anyone else has got, so they get to see it, same goes for every one else, so if 4 people repost the same thing it goes to a much wider audience. I don't see what's wrong with it myself, I think it's a good thing. It must be disheartening to spend time on something and no one sees it. I'll continue in my quest of reposting lol
@glen If I'm off Opuss for a day, I have to scroll through the same post over & over, until the whole app crashes, before I've even read stuff from two hours ago! That's the only issue I have. Like I said, RP's are a great thing, particularly or worthy posts or new authors. It would just be easier if it didn't RP stuff on your feed, from someone you're already following anyway. I repost plenty & there's no right or wrong-just something that perhaps will be developed by boss man over time π
@Fly10 your right and I hope they sort it out, but I'm still going to carry on reposting until they do, don't hate me for it lolπ
@glen No, I agree with you actually, I just thought it would be funny for everyone to repost the post against reposting. I get virtually no likes on anything until somebody reposts my stuff, I think it's essential for the people that don't have a ton of followers, and it's almost the only way you find good new writers. There may not be a lot of point in reposting people that have a ton of followers already, but 90% of who I follow, I found because somebody else reposted them.
@glen - I don't disagree with reposting at all! Like @Fly10 and @VikingHorn have said it is a great way to find new writers etc just until Opuss update for a filter or an option not to have rp's of people you follow. After all, part of seamonster's mandate is for us to have a lot of control over our feeds!
@glen @Fly10 @Jamtots @VikingHorn I didn't mean to start a storm, and this wasn't a dig at any particular person. However as Fly said, lots of reposts do make it hard for those of us who can only catchup in the evenings, as the feed usually crashes.
@glen @Fly10 @Jamtots @VikingHorn @naaviie and I agree it's a good way to get things to a wider audience, and I will still continue to repost Opusses I enjoy, but it's just a little niggle I've had. Sorry if I've caused offence.
