Or even write a full blog post

The cynic says you write these posts
For attention, likes and more
But Opuss is just not the place
For a one line wasted short.
Your feedback helps Nom understand what's working

This isn't Instagram. This ain't your twitter feed. Looking for a Facebook fix. Then this ain't what you need. Sure we like a quote or two, But millions. No thanks.

Some people on Opus don't seem to have much to do. They always appear to be on here with likes and reposts to accrue. Every time I'm go on there are all my favourites busy posting with aplomb.
Couldn't agree more. I put a one liner up at the start if the week stating just that. It does my swede in. 👍👍👍👏👏👏😘
@eddie12309 I tend not to read them and it doesn't take more than a second to scroll past.. Not my thing, but in their defence, some are fairly popular and there is categories for them such as 'tweet' etc so Opuss has been designed to cater for them..

@Burrfoot sometimes a one line quote is interesting. But some of the stuff posted is just inane. Anyway, just my view.
I'm the same as @Burrfoot - just scroll on by, not interested. Would be helpful if opuss had a filter OUT feature for some categories...?
@Georgiastar as I said, sometimes one line quotes are ok. It's the updates on life that are so inane.
There are filters. Instead of searching everything, search the genre you want to read. And don't follow these people who do one liners, they can't clog up your feed that way. Is this a winning scenario?.
I actually disagree with you. I myself don't do this but who are we to tell others they can't. Free speech and all that has got to come into it. Some people might not be able to write good poems or stories and they just want to join in. I've been on opuss since it started way back last year and it was much worse for this at the start. The way I see it, the more people on here the better. Horses for courses if you know what i mean mate. Rant over lol 😜
@blindsilence not exactly, there is at least one person I follow who posts 'tweets' but they also post good poetry. But thanks for trying to diffuse the situation!
@glen unfortunately I disagree with you 😜. And I've seen people who are capable of writing beautiful poetry do it too.

Lol I tend to agree with both sides but the bottom line is Opuss is not twitter, personally I skip them unless I find one that catches my eye.
Twitter is indicative and symbolic of of all that is wrong with the culture of today. Humans should aspire to understand and interpret reality, or intellectually write emotive, beautiful words that can harness the power to create. Not tell us that so and are being pushed together and held with metaphorical 30 year old tape or when you have just got up for some late night food, jedward posted that by the way who are the personification of said symbol. Let us ironically set alight to the twitter servers with heat magazines and use the left overs for Opuss to expand thus taking us into a golden era of culture and learning. Or at least kill twitter.
