Rainbow

A beautiful smear of colour,
Streaming across the sky,
Against a dark grey canvas,
The bleakness seemingly dies.

Fantastic shades of blue and green,
Majestically fading into one another,
All the shades in the world,
A delicatessen of colour.

Sparkling and shimmering softly,
Encrusted with gems of glitter,
Reflecting the dancing sunlight,
A vibrant kaleidoscopic fritter.

Autumn Afternoon

What a lovely afternoon. The sun low in the sky. Trees coloured aflame. As wispy clouds float gently by. The tide has long departed. Mud flats are revealed. Waders pick for food.
