H appily waiting to be free,
O nly time can tell when that will be,
T hey shall stay for now, my friends and me,
O n holiday I bought it, by the sea,
F rance was the country with mes amis,
R emembering that week fills me with glee,
A nd I only need look at the frame and see,
M y memories are safe and clean,
E verlasting memories, I gaurantee.

One of the earliest frame examples was a discovery made in an Egyptian tomb dating back to 2nd century A.D. in which a fayum mummy portrait was discovered at Hawara still within its wooden frame
