What I Found

Having a clear out yesterday
I found something to make me smile
It was like finding treasure
Poems I wrote, I hadn't seen for a while

Some were written years ago
Ten, fifteen, or over twenty years old
I sat and read each one of them
This box had many memories within its hold

A lot has happened to me
Since I penned what I see before me now
I was a very deep thinker
With so many questions, why, what, how?

I even had a diary
With even more of my feelings there
Within this box of dreams
There is so much for me to share

So now I want to show
Some of my work from days gone by
Giving you a little peep
Into a girls world of feelings....mine

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.

my writings are webs, which are woven by fingers. they're meant to exist, so my memories linger. i'll talk about good and touch base with bad. talk of times my feet strayed from the path.

The Day The Grey Went Away

The day the grey went away, 'Twas an eve of indigo blue. The moon was alight and the stars were ablaze. I stood and watched with you. The day the grey went away It was a breathtaking moment.

Silver

I like silver better older. With its fine blue dust. Taking shelter in the notches. A lovely sort of rust. It looks much more refined. With its overcoat of grey. Like the swirling cirrus clouds.

Reminiscing

The silver moonlight, It glinted off your hair. Your eyes were unforgettable, The shade of green so rare. Your lips were blood red, The petals of a rose.

Yesterdays

Once upon a yesterday. In an everlasting sun. Seams unpicked and solid. Innocence yet undone. Times the youth within us. Was all we'd ever need. Taken all too quickly. Consumed by growing's greed.

In A Pond A Dream Lies

In a pond a dream lies. A wishing stone, wrapped in youth, Anchored deeply, out of sight, A promise bound in truth.

Look forward to that. It's great when you find things you had forgotten about. I still have all the silly notes that me and my best friend used to send to each other at school. 😄😄😄💚
