Once upon a yesterday
In an everlasting sun
Seams unpicked and solid
Innocence yet undone
Times the youth within us
Was all we'd ever need
Taken all too quickly
Consumed by growing's greed
Return me to a memory
Back to a ripening field
A hazy blissful moment
To tender touch, our bodies yield
I can remember well
Privately, with grace
A thought that burns so brightly
Brings the smile upon your face
Everything fades away
It was all so long ago
But no-one should forget
The only things they want to know
Layers of mocking memoirs
Slowly swirling in times mist
Take me to a place
Where my yesterdays exist
