Chapter 11
JAKES POV

I sped around the corner and down the corridor looking for Katie. I wanted to tell her before I lost her. Before Ethan could have her.
That's when I saw her leaning against the lockers talking to Ethan. Oh no. I'm too late.
Ethan saw me and smirked. I felt empty and there was a pain in my chest.
Katie followed Ethan's gaze. She looked straight at me and opened her mouth to say something, but before she could i stormed off....

KATIE'S POV
"Is he ok?" I asked Ethan. "He looked pretty angry. Did you guys argue or something?"
"Yeah. But, he'll be fine" Ethan replied.
"What did you argue about?"
"Nothing really. He just overreacted" I nodded. Hm.... I was curious. What did they argue about? Jake did look pretty angry. I was starting to worry a little about him. "So Saturday?" Ethan interrupted my thoughts.
"Yeah" Ethan was a nice guy. And he asked me out. I smiled at the idea of going out with him.
"I'll walk you to class"
"It's fine. I gotta go and pick up a few things first" Well.... That and I had to clear my head.
"Sure?"
"Yeah"
"See you at lunch then" He shouted over his shoulder as he walked away.
"Bye" I replied.
I walked down the empty corridor. Everyone had gone to class now, but I had to get my books from my locker at the other side of the school. Ugh.
Suddenly I was pulled from the corridor and pushed against the wall forcefully. Jake....
"What the hell jake?" I shouted. His hands were at either side of my head in fists and he was breathing heavily. He looked.... Hurt and angry. Suddenly he lifted his fist and I thought he was going to hit me but he punched the wall instead. I was scared. Really scared. He looked into my eyes and saw my fear. The anger in his eyes melted. Then he stormed off down the corridor. Once I saw him turn the corner I slid down the wall and tried to hold back tears. My breath was short and quick. Why was he so angry? What had I done? Nothing! I hadn't done anything. At least nothing to deserve that. Is this about the argument with Ethan? Tears were rolling down my face.
Somehow I managed to get up and get myself to the bathroom and passed out on the floor.
