Prey listen to me Sir, for I need a place to rest. My clothes are sodden from the storm, and I feel a cold upon my chest.
I saw the light from yonder field and made my way with haste.
A panic spurred me to my heels, for no lie Sir, I was chased!
Yes chased, Tis true, I see your face, you must be wondering why?
I'll tell, it is no shame to say, I thought that I might die!
As I walked across these fields around to reach my home and hearth,
I saw a body upon the ground, it's torso torn in half.
A terror rooted me to the spot as I gazed upon the scene.
Then something shadowy moved in to sight amidst the trees of green.
A Wolf I tell you, Sir I saw,
As large as any ever known.
That is why I stand before you Sir, for it chased me to your home.
So kind of you Sir, to let me in, to warm myself by your fire,
And it seems a shame to tell you now, for Sir, I am a liar.
'twas no Wolf that chased me to your door, but a hunger of my own,
And as you stand before Sir,
I see a meal of Flesh and Bone.
